This book provides all kinds of info about vice and criminal dealings in Shadowrun but strangely gives no real info on how your runners can set up their own. A system much like the one for criminal organizations in Judge Dredd D20 would have been useful but I suppose they wanted each individual Game Master to handle that sort of thing their own way. That aside, this is still a very good book and is well worth buying even if you are not in a 4th edition campaign.
Vice does a nice job of talking about crime in SR4, the major as well as the minor players. At 192 pages, it's a very sizable book.The Mafia, Yakuza, Triads, Vory and David Cartel are covered in detail. There are also a number of "ethnic" syndicates, minor gangs and various serial killers/nutballs. Great information for a SR gamemaster.
The background info on organized crime in the Sixth World is generally useful without being particularly imaginative or providing many really useful hooks. This book is worth adding if your collection is already strong, but should not be a high priority unless you are really, really focused on the crime syndicates.
A good book with lots of background information. Very useful in some types of campaigns, less in other types. Would've liked some NPCs to go with the various factions.
Excellent book. Version is celebrating 20 years of Shadowrun is the best.Very complete book. Highly recommend.This supplement Shadowrun comes complete some small details that are missing in the basic book.The Work of the publisher is impeccable.
